Animal owners

If your dog or horse has arthritic joints, osteochondrosis or injuries to tendons or ligaments, the application of mesenchymal stem cells is an appropriate method of treatment. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us for a non-binding consultation. We will also more than happily recommend one of the experienced veterinarians we work with based in your area.

1) Examining the animal

An examination of the animal must be performed before proceeding with cellular therapy treatment so as to ensure the correct indication of therapy. Patients with disease present all over the body, diabetes, infectious arthritis, oncological patients and senile patients with very advanced arthrosis in several joints will not be able to receive treatment. In view of the need for anaesthesia, the age of the animal always need to be taken into consideration as does the expected result and the stage of degeneration to the articular cartilage. The sooner the patient undergoes treatment, the more pronounced the results will be.

2) Bone marrow sample

In the case of dogs, the doctor removes bone marrow from the humerus, horses are sedated and local analgesia from the sternum or the hipbone. The samples are performed using special sampling syringes.

3) Processing bone marrow

Bone marrow is processed and the mesenchymal stem cells cultivated under strict sterile conditions in our laboratory.

4) Applying the product

The suspension of mesenchymal stem cells may be applied to the damaged joint or injured tendon two to three weeks after taking the bone marrow sample. For dogs the application of cells is performed under anaesthetic, while horses are sedated.
Once the product has been applied, it is very important that the regimen recommended by the attending veterinarian is adhered to.
